Sam's Place is a small local charity that provides crucial support to young people aged 15 and above who have various learning abilities. When this remarkable organisation was on the verge of shutting down, The Plant Place, driven by its commitment to local community development, wanted to lend a helping hand. Since then, The Plant Place has proudly chosen Sam's Place as its charity, helping the young members with their creative workshops and facilitating opportunities to showcase and sell their handmade items.

The Summer Fayre: A Heatwave of Support
In July 2023, The Plant Place hosted its first-ever Summer Fayre to raise funds for Sam's Place. The event was an incredible success, attracting individuals who were eager to contribute to this important cause. The Summer Fayre was a delightful spectacle, featuring a grand prize draw, live music performances, a vibrant display of handmade crafts, and classic carnival games. The atmosphere was electric, buzzing with excitement and a shared sense of purpose. Through the unyielding enthusiasm of our supporters, we managed to raise over £4000 on that unforgettable day.

Planting Seeds of Joy with the Container Workshop
On the 30th of August 2023, The Plant Place had the pleasure of inviting Sam's Place to partake in a planted container workshop. Our very own outdoor plant wizard, Craig, guided the participants through a mesmerising journey of creating stunning planted containers. The workshop allowed the young members to showcase their artistic talents and express their unique plant styling skills.
